Dancing with the Stars Fundraising Gala

Six Redlands’ “stars” will trip the light fantastic June 6 to raise funds for the Redlands Symphony Orchestra. The gala evening of “Dancing With the Stars” will feature Berengere Robertson-Tucker, Neil Macready, Pete Aguilar, Neal Waner, Martha Greene and Debbie Brown. Partnering with them will be professional dancers from the 5-6-7-8 and Shake It up dance studios in Redlands.
In a switch from ABC’s TV show, “Dancing With the Stars,” voting has already begun and will be ongoing until after the local “stars” have performed on the evening of the gala. Votes for the local dancers are $1 each, and it is not necessary to attend the gala to vote. Voters can cast their ballots as many times as they wish until the Gala evening.
Contestants may accept donations for votes, so if you know one or more of the stars personally, you can cast your ballots directly with any of the dancers.
Votes can by cash, check (made out to the Redlands Symphony), or credit card.
Ballots are included with the Gala invitation and available from the “stars” and members of the gala organizing committee. Indicate the number of votes you wish to cast, and for whom, and include a check or payment information to the Redlands Symphony, P.O. Box 3080, Redlands, CA 92373.

Or you can come to the Gala on June 6, enjoy an evening of good food and entertainment, and vote in person.
Additionally, there will be an opportunity drawing following the dancing theme. The package includes a Nintendo Wii game console, Nunchuk controller, Wii Sports, and’ Dance Dance Revolution 2’ with dance mat. (The Wii package is courtesy of Scott Pierce, Arroyo Insurance Services.)
Wii chances may be purchased at the following prices: 6 for $10, 12 for $20, 24 for $40, 30 for $50, 60 for$100.
Opportunities to win may be purchased from any gala committee member, from the symphony office, online, or at the event on June 6. The winner need not be present to win.
